The murder of Daniel Morgan and the corrupt investigations that followed. The Met have since acknowledge the first investigation was corrupt.

Once secret hearings are a part of national security they will find themselves used in commonplace civil and criminal trials.

The legal system is probably perfectly fair but unfortunately some of the people who practice it are not:rolleyes:

Popular legend has it that there is a well known lawyer in Aberdeen who has a yacht named Legal Aid.

It takes both parties to corrupt a legal system.

Generally speaking it is - however any system which is developed and run by humans is subject to the same frailties as humans.

At least as a system which has been growing for so long, many of the opportunities for this kind of thing have been removed.

That said if you really want to here about a traversty of justice - try reading An Innocent Man by John Grisham (his first based on a true story) - the US justice system was unable to rectify that travesty - they had executed him. One of his appeals was disallowed because someone could not be arsed to get out of their seat after 5pm.

This the best account I've read of the Julian Assange allegations.

The following link has the image of a swastika in it, though it's sole purpose is to show the fascist nature of the British justice system. Fascism is after all corporations co opting the nation state.

PLEASE DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK IF YOU ARE OFFENDED BY THE IMAGE

For those who doubt the story of the Coulters, please go along to your local county court and check the court listings and sit in on a hearing.
There you will see Judges disregarding the law in pursuit of justice for whoever is the stronger of the parties. In truth 'equality of arms' is never practiced. It's only function is the deceive the party who relies upon the notion of a fair hearing.

Please sign this petition and get others to do so if possible.

There is no accountability in the courts. Justice isn't seen or heard when we blindly trust those who dispense justice.

What a load of rubbish. Mostly unsubstantiated, unreferenced allegations, some of which aren't even about criminal behaviour, along with a few convictions for what are mostly driving offences, committed over many decades, by a tiny number of judges, none of whom rose above the rank of circuit judge. Plus a few conspiracy theories about child porn and all that nonsense thrown in.

I think you will find that An Innocent Man is a true account, where two defendants were indeed cleared after being on death row for years. One of them died not longer after being freed on appeal.

However, in The Confession, a fictional story, the accused was indeed executed before it was discovered another person was the real killer.
