Lad culture getting out of hand?

Hey all,

Am I thie only one that thinks lad culture is getting out of hand?

Most people I meet these days are obsessed with "banter" and have horrific views about women. Plus they drink themselves to the point they need an ambulance!

Read this, they sent an alright sort of chap to go and hang with some "lads" - looks like hell!

I'm worried about this generation...

I think it depends on your type of personality and style of humour tbh!

Personally I love lad bant, enjoy taking part in it, and a big part of it is not taking stuff too seriously!

If you think laddism, in the sense of nasty, yobbish behaviour by young blokes, is bad nowadays, I suggest you look up the Mohocks-not the Indian tribe, but an early eighteenth century gang of rich, upper-class London lads. Their antics made the Bullingdon Club and even the worst excesses of today's chav street gangs pale into insignificance by comparison and I can't help wondering if they were used as a blueprint for Clockwork Orange.
