Just saw Highlights of Kairdiff's Win at Hereford that was on Earlier on BBC2W. It was Rob Phillips and Kevin Ratcliffe for BBC Radio Wales. In One Slow Passage of Play, they switched to a Shot of Kevin Co-Commentating (You didn't get to see Rob Phillips, but a Small Man wearing a Dai Cap was a Dead Giveaway that it was him).
I'm sure that was just a typo. He was there for 5 Live. IRN's reporter was Steve Jackson. I was sat next to him.
And we went to 'cubs' together 25-odd years ago.
Correct - another typo. As you wrote, Steve Jackson (who seems to travel the country) reported for IRN.
Yesterday, Naz Prenjis (or however it is spelt) covered Sheffield United v Manchester City for IRN. I did not catch the Man Utd v Tottenham reporter but would guess that it was Peter Smith.

Andy, welcome. It's good to have someone covering the North-West. I've been at a conference in Belgium this week (it was nice to watch "Match Of The Day" without knowing the results first) but I'm back and raring to go this weekend with football and rugby. If Chris Cooper was covering Sunderland on Tuesday, does he still commentate on Man U's matches for Century?

Welcome? I've been a member since 2001 I think. Only just changed my password to one I can remember.
Gary Weaver and Mickey Thomas do Man Utd for XFM. They have used Phil Blacker and Stuart Arrowsmith at times this season when Weaver has been doing Football First games for Sky.

Could it have been Stevie Cowan at Clyde?
It might have just been a blip in the signal and it was indeed Cowan. The report might be uploaded to the BBC site later.
Another possibility is Alex Dowdwell who used to report from the Airdrie area on Radio Clyde. (Clutching at straws here.)
