it seems to me the dynamic is very similar between the two family groups, and the storyline as well . stan getting close to dean as archie did with Danielle. and of course the difficult relationships and estrangement

    I don't remember Archie getting particularly close to Danielle, he wanted to kill her if I am remembering correctly.

    The relationships are similar in that there is a villainous grandfather and a mother and child with a strained relationship but apart from that it couldn't be more different.
