Dunno whether any of you guys watch this but the past few series have been amazing. The tiger cubs at London Zoo are fetured heavily in this. I really think it's worth a watch. It starts on Sunday.

Could have sworn I've already seen the hippo and the tumour in her mouth? Has this been on before on a different channel perhaps?

It was shown in the last series of The Zoo.

It took them long enough to realise filling in the pond might be a good idea!

Loved the programme. Always do! Now I want to work there when I'm older, maybe having thr job of Lucy and living there lol.

I went a few weeks ago and here are some uodates:
    • The tiger cubs are now HUGE, almost the size of Jae-Jae and Melati! The introductions have gone really well (when I went they were still in the early stages). Jae-Jae was asleep the whole day (I went to Tiger Territory 3 times, couldn't keep away lol). They're still very shy and sticking close to Melati but are venturing further away. The cubs will stay at ZSL until they're about 18 months old.

    • Puddle is now permanently in the adult enclosure. Lots of chicks in the baby pool.

Warning: Next week get tge tissues ready
because Abi the Lion is put to sleep:(

I followed this in the last series and loved it.
It's something to look forward to on a Sunday night instead of awful repeats.

They didn't fill it in because they spoke to other zoos and they said they didn't fill theirs in and the animals coped ok.

I went a few weeks ago and the keeper said they think Melati deliberately dropped the cub into the pond because in the wild it is not natural to raise a sole cub so the mother would just kill it. They couldn't prevent it because if she didn't drown it she would've killed it by biting it's throat. She was an inexperienced mother so it's to be expected.

Love this programme, have happy chidhood memories of the childrens Pets Corner many years ago (my parents lived across the road). I remember a llama sticking it's nose in my mothers bag, and strealing our sandwiches
The keepers who work there seem very devoted to their animals
