Cool and different alternative to Murder Mystery Party?

Hey gang
I was planning a murder mystery party (one of the boxed ones you can buy in a shop) for a couple of weeks time, but I've just had a couple guests drop out.
Assuming we're now seven, and thus below the minimum number of players, and I can't find an alternative guest, I need to think of an alternative that will provide entertainment for 7 people, something new and different and hopefully something they've never done before.
Has anyone been to parties, dinner or otherwise, in which the format was original and different and I might not have heard about? Suggestions please!

You can get plenty that have got 7 players in, look:
There's a bunch on this site, 7-12 guests
There's some on here too, 7-13 people, 7-14 people
Here's a few on Amazon UK, all 6-8 players
Don't give up on the murder mystery party idea- they're lots of fun! I went to one once and it was so funny!
