Few things that need to be cleared up:

1. Pound The Alarm is doing really well on US radio, and is rising up the Hot 100 chart. Where have some of you gotten the idea that it is flopping from? It's also smashing worldwide, and is her 4th biggest single.

2. Nicki doesn't lip sync anymore, though she uses a backing track for major key-changes. And I've watched so many Nicki Minaj performance videos, she used to lip-sync her raps a lot, but very rarely her singing.

3. She used to sing on her mixtapes. Actually, her last mixtape had more singing than the first album. So it's nothing new.

I think it'll be a new 2nd disc of 8 new tracks, that'll be released as an EP for those who already own the first version (though I guess in the UK it'll be released with the whole first disc as standard).

30 tracks for £10 = Xmas hit! I can see it selling well in the UK, especially if they thrown a few UK bonus tracks like Super Bass, Check It Out and Fly!

Pound The Alarm is 20 on the billboard chart and that is it's peak so far. That is pretty poor since it was released July 17th and just made the top 20 this week.

Also lol at she doesnt lip sync ANYMORE. There are artists out today who never have.

There's way better tracks on the album than PTA though!

And LOL @ the people saying she sold out

Her DEBUT single was pure pop!

nicki was known way before her debut through her mixtapes. people say she sold out because she was a hip hop artist and wanted to be even before she was big, then all of a sudden here comes her album and half of it is crossover trash. Pink Friday sold so well to begin with because of it's anticipation.

Also, The first single was technically Massive Attack and that song bombed so Nicki decided to make Your Love the first single. That doesn't change that Massive Attack was released first. Before her album came out she sold herself as an urban artist with her mixtapes and definitely her features.

Just... Why can't she be both? I mean she still raps on her album?

Even just a tiny bit (if youcan call it that way) on Starships and Pound The Alarm

because she sucks at doing both. starships and pound the alarm are both terrible songs. starships was catchy so of course it did well. if you can't do both, commit to one. since she sold herself right off the bat as an urban artist it seems like she only did the pop stuff to sell records, just like flo rida did in the beginning of his career. even gorilla zoe came out with Echo even though he was like a hardcore rapper. look where he is now.

beautiful sinner & fire burns are great tracks if she came over to the uk and did a performance on tv maybe jonathan ross.
Or this morning i'm sure she could get a top 3 hit with them.
I don't rate her as a rapper to be honest but I respect the fact she's getting people who wouldn't usually listen to rap to do so
I like some of the dance stuff but she has gone too pop.
I don't think she's that bad as a singer but i've not heard her live so can't pass judgement on live performances.
Why dosen't she do a remix album instead of a re-release.

This was re-released in Australia a month or so back. It was the same album minus Turn Me On with Guetta.

Could it be this?

I think Nicki made the right decision by going down the pop route - she is a lot more known, and successful now. I still think she is a hip hop artist, she just had to add some pop in order to appeal to a wider audience. Some people bought her second Album for the Hip-Hop side of the album, others bought it for the pop side. I think it was a clever thing to do.

Is it even possible to re-release an album that already has 22 songs?
Can't we just get a new album or EP?

aka, she sold out. that's all you are saying just in a glammed up way. plenty of people do it and more power to her for making money, but i still dont respect it.

No, Nicki has even said she was releasing new songs later this year.

But if she sold out surely she would just go down the pop route completely?

The album is half and half with Hip Hop and Pop. In fact, her first album is kind off similar, Hip Hop but with pop influence, however in her second album, she just made the pop songs, and the Hip Hop songs more separated on the album. There is a lot of artist today who have sold out, and completely left behind their old routes, Nicki never did that.

I think that the re-release will be mainly hip-hop tracks or at least i hope so because most of them on RR were quite disappointing tbh (e.g. like I Am Your Leader). Hopefully more songs like Champion and more from the perspective of Roman like we thought it would be.
