Raining blood
From a lacerated sky
Bleeding its horror
Creating my structure
Now I shall reign in blood!

Well, not really. But still, any excuse for some Slayer. And obviously bad air quality isn't exactly a good thing. But I bet it looks interesting.

Parts of Britain are set to be tinted a rusty red this weekend amid forecasts of ‘blood rain’.

That figures. I have washed all the windows and frames etc this week, so some sort of filthy rain is inevitable. Darn it. :(

The thread title just reminds me of that awful fantasy film 'BloodRayne'. Damn you inadequate video game to film adaptions.

Only for a Bronze Age peasant living in the Middle East thousands of years ago. Then you might've concocted some nonsense about it being the work of a god or some other pantomime character.

Back in the day, we just called it "rain with some dust in it". Not quite as catchy, I suppose...

:D Sounds more appropriate :D I presume it means we are going to have some smog and, if it rains, it'll be a bit red :D It has to rain first though, or else it's just smoggy :D (or dusty)

ETA: Reminds me of when I lived in San Diego, they were always a bit snobbish about smog. In LA there was a big smog problem, if it ever reached San Diego they insisted on calling it atmospheric dust :D

I'm sure that can still be arranged.

I've heard Jon Gaunt ranting & raving on his podcast about this

The moment we get a bit of fine warm weather in the Uk, we've got the 'elf & safety' people out... ohh we better be careful, we'd better hide away indoors because it's dangerous out there

The sun is strong... you will get burnt
The air quality is bad (the air stunk of 'sewer' when i was out earlier)
Now, we must fear this 'red rain' that is coming

Ahh bollards... there used to be a time, when we just went out, and enjoyed the spring warmth
