Why do straight lads shave their body hair these days?

I think a male hairless body looks.....odd. I'm not saying they shouldn't do it, if it's their preference then they have every right, it's their body, they can do what they want with it, I just don't think it looks quite right, I can't describe it...if a woman told me to shave I'd tell her to get lost, quite frankly it's my body, and if you are vain enough to let something as miniscule as that turn you off then I'm better off without you.

Trimmed pubes are best, shaved is a turn off unless you dont fancy the person your sucking so the chance/thought of getting a pube in your mouth is enough to make you throw up. Trust me on that. As an escort I'd rather a client be shaved but my man? Nah I want it sexy and natural.

Agree with this. I like my OH to keep his area tidy but I would be LOL if he got rid of the lot and it resembled a freshly plucked chicken.

For women, my view is that, while the youngsters can get away with being bare, when you get into your 30's and over you do need something so a landing strip or a neat triangle is best.

My boyfriend shaves his chest, he just doesn't like having chest hair so he gets rid of it.. I'm glad he does because I may have to get rid of it myself..

Don't quite understand how it makes anyone less of a man if they shave their chest

I don't understand how it bothers anyone really, it's not like it gets in the way.

If he's one of those really hairy fellas then maybe.

The stuff they appear in is nowhere near as popular as the Amateur material, with people of all shapes and sizes and varying levels of grooming. People seem keener to visit sites which gives them the choice to view stuff thats suits their personal preferences.

Care to show evidence? The most searched gay pornstars of 2012 are Johnny Rapid, Mick Lovell and Cody Cummings - all shaved men. The OP seems to be one of those hair police that's obsessed about hair.

If you're not attracted to a man and don't know what a sexy man looks like then your opinion is void sorry :o

Yes, they are popular within their respective category, i.e. the professional, glossy, american porn industry; but that particular category is now nowhere near as popular as the Amateur category, which caters to all preferences.

But even within the professional American industry, the new big shot seems to be James Deen, who seems to sport a more trimmed look rather than the complete shaved look.

Can't argue with that. Do what whatever you're comfortable doing I say.

    EWW!

James Deen is so not popular with women/gays unless you're counting those that will follow anything hyped.

Its actually men who want to see him because he's rough with the women and men probably want to live their fantasies through him.

He has no muscles, average face, quite an effeminate voice, not sexy at all. Same goes for another Brazzers regular Kieran Lee. :(

PS you do know that there are shaved men too in amateur videos?

Just to be a pedant in regards to an earlier post... Cody Cummings is also a gay for pay porn star. He (up until recently) didn't go all the way with a guy. He often does straight but he doesn't always shave his chest, he often has hair but keeps it trimmed and also keeps downstairs tidy... I prefer it when he has some hair on his chest.... YUM! :D

Well you were the one naming the guys who are most searched. What are all those people doing if not following the hype?

Of course there is, but the point I was making was that amateur is the most popular type of porn out there, and that has hairy, trimmed, hairless, skinny, fat, etc. so really its all down to personal viewer preference.

Why do you think the most popular guys among women and gay guys in straight porn are the clean shaven guys? Eg. Johnny SIns, Johnny Castle, Ramon Nomar, etc.

You need to stop watching Game Of Thrones and deluding yourself into thinking neanderthal looking old / fat / dwarf guys can score hot women

You do know most women don't even watch straight porn, nevermind have a favourite actor?

I watch porn occasionally and I don't even watch or notice the guy, I like to watch for the women. I'm still straight though.

I think your trying to convince yourself of something here to be honest....shaved pubes are a turn off in a man, unless you DONT FANCY HIM.

How does not shaving your hair/acting and dressing more like a woman than a man equate to being fat, ugly and a dwarf?

No idea what games of thrones is, and to be honest you want to stop being so cocky because with all due respect, your talking crap mate.

What rubbish! You actually sound like an immature teenage girl.

I'm gay and I prefer 'attractive' men regardless of body hair. What do you say about the greatest gay pornstars Pavel Novotny, Ryan Idol, Zeb Atlas, Mark Dalton who were/are all clean shaven?

    Or about Michelangelo's David?

Or the cast of Magic Mike?:confused::mad:

You don't speak for all gays. I Read a Gay forum where nearly every guy said they find effeminate guys a turn off. Every woman I know feels the same. Mainstream media is not a good indicator of what everyone finds attractive.

Did you even read the post I responded too? And a guy can be 'attractive' without spending all his time in a beauty salon just as a guy who gets his eyebrows done etc can still be 'ugly'.

Shaving does not equal effeminate. I would make a bloody ugly woman!

It doesn't, a man shaving his legs, pubes and arm pits is a turn off though, imo and many others iv spoke to. Chest shaving is also unnecessary. It all indicates a man who is either self obsessed and vain, or terribly insecure.

Of course, a man starts becoming effeminate when he starts wearing a scouse brow, spending hours doing his hair and wearing fake tan and make up on top of shaving all his body hair. It looks stupid on anyone except camp gays.

Do you feel the same way about women who shave those bodyparts you have mentioned? Are they vain, insecure or self obsessed?

As a man who shaves his armpits and other areas, I feel like I am none of the above. I am not vain, I am happy wearing clothes from Primark/Peacocks/Tesco etc and am very unmaterialistic. I put the happiness of my loved ones before my own and I most definitely not insecure! It seems like a strange judgement to make on others IMO.

Is James Deen on the most searched list of male pornstars? NO

He just does a lot of scenes for Brazzers because that site is run by men catering to men.

    Evidence?

To be fair, going by your username you're a bodybuilder, that's the very definition of self-obsessed isn't it?

You're dedicated to building your body.

As for vanity, do you not wear tight t-shirts all the time to show off your muscles? If not then why do bodybuilding in the first place?

You sound like one of those men who want women to look perfect while find every excuse for men not to or make fun of those that do.

Judging by the threads you start :o

My main reason for training is to be strong, I have competed in powerlifting and strongman competitions, never a bodybuilding show, it also helps a great deal when I have to get physical in my job. Training to be fit and strong doesn't equal being self obsessed imo, and no, I don't wear tight t-shirts all the time. I train for sport, the looks are a bonus

I know they are as my ex naturally had a hairless chest. However no one is completely hairless (unless you have alopecia or going through chemo).

Like I said, merely being hairless isn't effeminate. Going to beauty salons and getting your eyebrows waxed, using make up, straighteners and fake tan is effeminate.

Don't know why you have a problem with me saying this, men have only become so feminine looking/acting in the last few years. 10 years ago a man would be laughed at sporting a scouse brow.

What a pointless comment. Why would a post indicate my gender? Basically, men are mostly ugly and unsexy to look at for stimulation and I find women in porn the turn on, even though I am straight.

This is true for many women, a woman's body is much more sensual and appealing but your a Gay man so how the hell would you know anything about women's sexuality??!!
