It's in the Mirror now - and on DS news!

Still not on BBC yet though...

The Independent reporting it now too. Perhaps this "its a hoax story" link is the actual hoax, it doesn't attribute its only quote that says he's alive to anyone specific.

mediamass appears to be a "satirical" website that has in the past run a number of [insert name] is dead hoaxes. So I suppose it's unsurprising that they should also stoop to reporting that people who really have died are still alive.

And what's this nonsense about a "secret battle with dementia"? The word is PRIVATE!

    Confirmed by the BBC

I like that they kept it quiet until they were ready.

Sad news that he has been suffering from dementia. Saw the pain my friend went through when his mother was lost to it when she was only 45, so have seen the devastation the slow slipping away of a person does to a family.

    RIP Manuel.....

There's always one "comedian",,,sadly, not as funny as Mr Sachs was though.

At this juncture, the "comedian" is indeed Thrushell Brand. Sachs' credentials as a comic are something the unwashed one need never bother himself about aspiring to be able to get near.

RIP Andrew, another of my favourites gone. :(

    A great voice-over artist too.

He spoke English well, he learned it from a book.

Might be able to squeeze him in next to Prince and the agony aunt from This Morning.

Very sad news. He was a very talented actor. I enjoyed a lot of his voice over work for audio dramas ON BBC radio 4 as well his onscreen performances on Fawley Towers. May he rest in peace.

RIP Andrew who will always be Manuel to me. I hope Russell Brand and Jonathan Woss receive a second backlash from their disgusting *prank*.
