I don't think the baby was ever due last weekend, I think she's probably due next week sometime. Didn't Carole Middleton tell someone the baby would be a Leo? In that case Kate must be due sometime after the 21st of July.

just in time to be an early Leo

People are obviously entitled to dislike the royals, but this is just a ridiculous level of nastiness.

I also can't see how anyone can find Kate unlikeable..[/

    Neither can I.

Each to their own as you say but I find her very likeable.

I'm getting swept away in the general excitement for the babeh! My lovely late mum would have been really interested in all this! I can understand why some don't like Catherine. She is seen as someone who hasn't done a hands turn in her life. Working for mummy and daddy doesn't count apparently and in this current agew of austerity can't see the point of all this hysteria After all loads of women have babies everyday.

On another point, I have a friend who works at St Mary's and I went to meet her one Saturday and was treated to the barrage of step ladders and places reserved and marked out by the world's press. The hardware stores around Paddington must have made loads of money!

BIB - bless her. We are living in different times, but like it or not, this babe is going to be the King or Queen of our Realm.

    Now that's exciting!

    I think I might like you. ;)

    Prince George or Princess Victoria?

(the Royals are so boring, Fergie was the only one to mix things up).

Yeah, got his or her life all wrapped up already, unlike the many other babes that will be born today! I often wonder what would happen if one of the royal family (immediate heirs to the throne that is) would have wanted to be a doctor or a teacher. Would they have been put off from considering these careers?

    An ode for our Kate
You can almost hear the air, that culpable air
As good queen Katie prepares for the bairn
Our dear princess no need to rush
We're all breathing with you for one big push
Everyone in the land is quiet and excited
And when our new royal is born we'll be so delighted
You've filled the void left by our Di
And your people and family we all doth sigh
For your looks your flair taketh our breath away
For you and William - o, what an exciting day!
Be patient dear ma'am you do us proud
And when bubba is born we'll cry out loud
With love and devotion we give to you
And you can be sure of us Brits for it is so true
So have a great labour and a great day
And may all your wishes, dear queen, come true come what may.

There once was a Duchess named Kate
    Whose baby was terribly late
    She let out a grunt
    It slid down her ****
    And altered forever her gait

Wasn't the Queen a mechanic, once? A friend of mine who met her at a historic Tank exhibition said she was really interested and knew loads about the armoured cars.

The People's Pregnancy is about to end
as the baby comes slithering down the bend
who will it favour? How will it look?
have they chosen a name from their baby book?

I can't eat my dinner, I am so excited
the royal birth is imminent and the nation is delighted
