Samsung tablet won't fully charge

Hello

I've a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and for some reason it doesn't fully charge. It's always stuck at a 100%. Before it said 'charged' but now just 'charging 100%'.

Another problem is that it only (charges) when it's powered off. Whilst on, I can slowly see the battery draining.

Would a factory reset resolve everything or do I need to do something else?

Thanks.

A factory reset sounds like a good place to start.

Charging which shows the USB symbol does see your battery %age drop.

Are you using the charger and cable that came supplied with it.

My partners Galaxy tablet 2 is the same.... Won't charge when its on but will charge to Max when off. She charges using mains power and USB both from Samsung.

Could it be an app that's draining battery? Or like previous poster, A reset needed?
