Recordings not ending

Is anybody else is having this problem? There's a discussion about it on the Hummy forum but I haven't seen anything here.
It's been intermittent in the past, but I've found it constant over the last couple of days - every BBC programme I attempt to tape overruns by hours. Usually I catch it first and manually stop the recording. It did it to me with Doctor Who last night, for example.
Anyone have any ideas about this one?
