PS4 character save on cloud?

Been playing Diablo 3 with my cousins today using my ps4 account but on my cousins ps4. I used to have the game myself but sold it some time ago. I think I deleted the game files as well, which would maybe explain why I didn't have a character when I signed in with my account on my cousins ps4. And so my question is do game files save on a cloud as well the hd? Because I've bought Diablo 3 again & was hoping my character will be saved on my account on a cloud & I'd be able to play with my cousins with the same character I've been playing today when I get home.
