That makes perfect sense of course, what with the Mrs already doing it as well.

There are worse choices of presenter, not many, but some.

I'm hardly a Vernon Kay fan but I think I'd prefer him to Bruce who is just dire.

And they famously have such a stable and strong relationship too.

True, I remember watching Brucie in his prime presenting 'Sunday night at the London Palladium' when I was a kid, I'm 54 now!

I really think it's time for him to take it easy now, it's cringeworthy to see him stumbling his lines all the time.

to be honest I would welcome him rather than Brucie , and I dont even particularly like Vernon .

So many people would be better than Brucie atm.

In his day he was sublime , but he is emarassing now

Bruice might be sublime his prime, but Venon would be the ridiculous!:mad:

I would actually stop watching SCD if this were to be the case. Tess is awful enough, but I can just about cope with her inane questioning in the Tesspit. I'm afraid it would be boot through the screen time if that gormless oaf of a husband of hers took over from Brucie.

I'd love Stephen Fry - but he just wouldn't do it - he's highly critical of reality tv.

I would prefer Bruce to do Strictly from his deathbed if the alternative was Vernon Kaye.

These shows need humour and the ability to be spontaneous, not an over earnest autocue reader. Just because Vernon is younger doens't mean he would be any better.

My choices would be Brian Conley or Graham Norton. Could live with Barrowman.

Yikes! No too! I mean, he's good in QI, but if he starts to pontificate the history of each dance, that sort of thing. Zzzzzzz...

Actually - I've decided I want Brendan to do it. :D

He could storm off when he doesn't agree with the judges comments.

Vernon has a handcuffs deal with ITV in the UK at the moment so the BBC would have to pay a lot to get him.......why would they bother when they have many better choices they could make.

I hadn't thought of Conley - imo he'd be good. A thousand times no for Graham Norton.

It's become "nice to see you, too see you alive" ;)

Vernon's OK, and can understand Tess when she attempts to say "couples"...
