Why are people making a big deal about Gaga's meat outfit?

We all know she likes this sort of attention so it's not a surprise. I personally think she's allowed to wear whatever she wants. She doesn't have to listen and obey Peta and the likes.

I know alot of people would be disgusted with the picture. I wonder what would Leona Lewis response would be if she meets Gaga after this

Just doing what she does every morning when she wakes up - says to herself "now, what really wacky and outrageous thing can I do today that will a) keep me in the headlines, b) offend a whole lot of people and c) convince my sad dupes of fans that I'm soooo cutting edge and hip ?"

Then her stylists tell her.

Beatles did it over 40 years ago. People aren't outraged, they're bored. I'm waiting for the day she does a photoshoot at Auschwitz wearing full Nazi regalia. And she will, mark my words.

... Im not outraged. ESp as I saw it first done YEARS ago.(as per usual for Gaga) I believe the Beatles did it in 1966??
Trust me the Beatles one has FAR more impact!!

Oh this is the first time i know about the Beatles picture, I thought it was an original shoot by Gaga

I'm not a Gaga fan, and I just thought she looked stupid

, but that Beatles one looks very diferent to me, they're not wearing meat, they just seem to have the odd chunk of it here and there, along with broken bits of doll.
The theme of the photo looks more 'evil doctorish' to me, with the white coats and the human-looking dolls

... and the good old Mail thinks it's the same thing she wore for the Vogue shoot (which was real meat...).

Of course she cares, why on earth do you think she pulls stunts like this? It's all carefully orchestrated and designed to keep up the coverage on her, nothing more, nothing less.

Totally agree, it's getting tiresome and wearing. I'm not shocked by Gaga trying to shock. If find it boring. I really hope she disappears soon, she's no Madonna I don't think she'll have longevity. I hope she doesn't have longevity.

I don't see why anyone is getting their panties in a brunch...after all it's not like she committed some act of cruelty personally. All she did was wear her dinner, something your average toddler does pretty much every meal time

Yes, it's contrived and OTT and she's trying to make a point but whatever. I like her. I like her songs and she's different, not different in as much that we've seen it all before, she's borrowed from just about everyone from Grace Jones to Madonna but she's different to everyone else around right now. Most of the others all look and sound all the same, I can barely tell one from the other. BORRRRING.

This outfit is in no way daring. Even the very cheesy and uncool ANTM has beaten her to it. They had a meat themed photoshoot two or three years ago.

It's disgusting, and I really don't have a problem with eating meat or anything like that. Who would want to go near someone with rotting meat hanging off them.
