She may be, doesn't stop the song from being complete rubbish though!

We got through that thread in six days. Impressive even for us!

Also, going to use this to direct eyes to the game I'm running. Much fun to be had and such.

 at the Anmary hate on the other thread.

That bit where she re-enacted hanging up on Mick Jagger totally made the contest last year.

You lot got me listening to it again :D

I've got "love and faith" via diggiloo....

      Oh -- that's make even more sense...I think we need a poll...:D I think it's pain though...but it could be faith...damnit Andrius -- ENUNCIATE!

Although when wet wet wet has that song out I always thought the words were "Love is all around me and sort of feeling gross" :o

It's the best of a weak selection but his two live attempts so far haven't been great.

Weak selection, I think the opposite! Apart from Inchequin, of course. :)

The Irish selection is good this year Heightened by the fact that Jedward aren't involved and they don't have cheesy duet

Yeah I think the selection this is year is kind of ok. I can imagine Ryan Dolan going down quite well in Europe. Tacky euro-pop, throw in a few dancers and a strobe light.. it could work! I like Zoe's song too.

However I think we might actually be missing a trick by not picking Inchequin, potential for massive Turkish diaspora votes all over Europe.

The two that have decent songs are expected not to deliver the ones that can sing have garbage :)

I'm judging the Israeli songs on their suitability for crab dancing and easily song 1 is the best. If you ignore the ballads then an honourable mention for song 6 despite the lyrics. I think this is a decent enough selection for a semi-final, certainly up to MF 2013 standards. :p;)

They're ballads, is that not enough? :p Hers is better than his but my ballad quota this year belongs entirely to Despina. ;)

If it gets selected, it easily joins Norway and Germany as the best songs so far in the contest.

I think Ryan's song is the only good choice for Eire. the other ones are all a bit meh

Songs 3 and 8 from the Israeli selection are excellent, 4 makes for a good second choice. Having a blatantly Irish song in the selection (#2) just freaks me out. And as for the Dance / Rap mess (#10)...

Oh, and the selection needs more rock! Hopefully this will be fixed in the next semi final?

Fire has a good catchy chorus but the verses are beyond weak :(

As long as Aimee doesn't win....she would send Europe to sleep with her dreary ballad that goes nowhere, has no glory note, key change, lacks a memorable hook, etc..

I really like the Irish selection (just not Inchequin).

Has anyone got a link to Aimee's song? Haven't been able to hear it fully.

If Ireland chooses Ryan or Zoe they'll go top 3 of my leaderboard anyway. I think Ryan will have a better chance of doing better, so I hope they go for him.
