It used be on http://www.ukfree.tv/ under the CO7 postcode that Sudbury was the 'ideal' transmitter, but recently have noticed that this has changed to Bluebell Hill, and to a certain extent says Dover is fine too, Is trhis because the power is higher from Bluebell, and that it may be a flatter route in that direction, or are they jusr barking up the wrong tree ?

The only way to tell which is the best transmitter for any single location in the UK is to test the reception on site with a spectrum analyser. Predictors are notoriously unreliable.
