my opinion is that "the violence came from both sides on the night" so the article is indeed the best account of events to give, its called presenting a balanced viewpoint, unlike the poor wee scottish nationalists/ big bad unionist dishonesty you often read about on here

Except the attackers were almost uniformally from the unionist camp and it was them that started the violence.

and only 38% of those who were eligble to vote voted for it, these facts dont conradict each other, hope that helps

You do not know how people who did not vote would have voted if they had voted. You can only count the votes cast. Do do anything else is idiocy

Lol I take it you were one of the thugs chasing young girls shouting abuse at them, no wonder you want to defend that action. You should be ashamed of yourself

i admire your childish attempts at provocation but at no point was i in george square in the days preceeeding and following the referendum, you sound like you were there though, did you smash the window and shout abuse at the car with the union flag in it? perhaps you were the guy with the scotland flag on his face who got arrested in the square? or course according to you this couldnt have happened as it was all the big bad unionists fault

only 38% of people who could vote cared enough about the issue to turn up and vote for independence, do you dispute this?

not according to the news reports available which state both sides were responsable and the violence started after both sides wound each other up, the various videos available also show this, the pictures also show this, your bias is clearly apparent

which they had every right to do, the sqaure is not the exclusive property of scottish nationalists and the logical thing would have been for the scottish nationalists to let someone else have a go of it when they lost the vote, however this did not happen and violence ensued due to both sides goading each other, both sides were equally responsible, the no voters who arrived in the square were also celebrating being scottish, just like i did also after the referendum vote was won

Rubbish, it was Unionist thugs like you see at Ibrox that caused the mayhem. That is a matter of record.

So are you saying that the sepearist camp have never been hostile or violent towards unionist?

If you are, your a liar!

Your use of the term 'young women' is laughable to, it is a pathetic attempt to make those who you deem to be 'victims' seem more victimised.

They're a group who aren't unionist thugs, so is that why they shouldn't be mentioned?

Who are they and who have they attacked, en mass, in a public place?
