If it is a woman's choice and she is not forced into it, then it is their choice.

I don't like the fact that prostitution exists and I wouldn't support a relative doing it but if it has to exist then I believe it should be legal and regulated so its as safe as it can be for all involved and society as a whole.

That they have sex a lot.

Seriously, that's about all I think really, as its not something I ever give much thought too. Provided women (and men) are not forced into working in those industries then its their choice I suppose. There are greater things to worry about and more important things to judge people by, than whether they decide to earn a living through sex.

Because often it comes hand in hand with other crimes like drug pushing by pimps and so many of these women are also heavily drug dependant and do so to pay for their habit as well as other things.

In many cases these women's earnings go to pimps who supply them with drugs who make them relyant and dependant on them and the money doesn't go to the person who earned it but instead to fuel organised crime. Many women are trapped in this so called profession either through fear, blackmail or addiction.

This is pretty much what I think.

This is why it should be decriminalised and even legalised. Take the power/control away from the pimps and give it to the women, and get prostitution out of the back alleys (no pun intended).

This is true I suppose and that's sad.

'Clients' son't care what womwn's situation
Is so long as he's getting his biddable slave at a reasonable price. I favour criminalising the men who use prostitutes to destroy a sick industary.

My thoughts are... that many 'workers' have deep seated problems. and that many 'clients' have problems too.

The game will always be played tho.

There will always be those working outside of the 'Law' tho, for the 'thrill', and that may make some more vulnerable.

If sex is a drug, surely they are taking advantage of people desperate for a fix.

As long as it is safe, and the woman is there by her own accord, not through sex-trafficking, drugs, poverty etc, then I think it's entirely her business.

Keep that choice at home then and not on the streets.

I think you will find that there are very few women 'working' because it is the job of their dreams.....most will have a problem or two.

I also believe they are poorly educated so the work they would get like cleaning or working in a factory wouldn't pay as much as selling their bodies. However I do believe that if they could do a different kind of job and get paid as much they would do it. I wouldn't do it for a million quid because I like to pick the guy I want to sleep with and I don't need the money either.

A fair comment. I can't imagine many women would find it very endearing.

Sadly some have no choice. I'm sure there are many escorts who are safe and in a controlled environment.

Some drug addicts, controlled by pimps, have no choice.

I have no experience of either so it's just my opinion.

There is one poster in the other thread who was an escort. I don't believe she had any problems.

Should be legalised for the girls and their clients, and the girls protected, as they are in The Netherlands.

    snip...

I worked alongside also doing 2 girls with several of the most popular girls on the Manchester escort scene and sorry to burst anyones bubble but pretty much all of them had difficult//odd pasts & home situations/domestic violence at home/excessive drug and alcohol use/dysfunctional lifestyles/emotional problems and you would never have guessed it at work. They did their job well and didn't look like addicts.

I was the same, I am good looking and never been an addict (I have partied hard though) but my involvement with the industry was the result of my denial about sexual abuse when I was a young girl. I was 'reliving' it in a way. I still did like many clients though, there were plenty of nice, decent blokes. I rarely enjoyed the sex just put on a show and had tons of regulars.
    Snip...

    'No problems'?

    'No problems'?

It seems she didn't but others did.

Read some of her other posts. It was a job for her. I'm not suggesting she enjoyed it.

I'm sorry, but I don't think you've read it properly

Unless you're suggesting that her saying this:

"...my involvement with the industry was the result of my denial about sexual abuse when I was a young girl. I was 'reliving' it in a way"

    isn't a problem?

I've read many of her posts. I'm not in her brain to explain that. Some of her posts says she picked her clients and was never forced.

You don't need to be in her brain, she's stated what I've quoted twice now...

Do you think it's concerning that she entered the industry as a result of being sexually abused as a child? Or not?

It's nothing to do with being 'forced' - totally separate issue IMO.

Yes I do. What else can I say.
