When I went for a hellish weekend in Blackpool I ended up going to a strip club, and saw quite a few of the male strippers doing their thing. It wasn't a turn on - Like other people have said, they were just cheesy and pretty cringeworthy. I didn't find any of them attractive either, which probably didn't help.
A couple of the girls I went with were all over them though... I can't understand why. After one of the girls had gotten her use out of one of them later (then passed out on my bed, ignoring the guy completely, very funny because of the look on his face!) I got to speak to him a bit. Basically, they have a different girl or two every weekend, and that's the main reason they do it plus they get paid quite a bit. He said he really enjoyed it, at least he was honest about why!

How hard did you work out? Lift proper hard weights and shit?
Well I'm pretty huge anyway, so I tend to do lighter weights and alot more reps, for definition.

I think the problem is that whilst women's bodies have an inherent beauty, be they curvy or skinny, naked mens bodies really have nothing going for them, no matter how toned.
Furthermore, whilst a nicely trimmed, well looked-after ladypart can, like a warm fluffy bed, look almost inviting, the willy was created by God as a bit of a joke when she was on the Bacardi Breezers one night.

Someone organised a stripper for my mum's 40th many years ago. She said he was really gross and she was really embarrassed.
Apparently a friend of my cousin's was a Chippendales groupie in the early 90s. She followed them round all their shows and is said to have slept with a couple of them. Apparently some of them were up for this but some not.
However, this is very much a second hand story and I don't know how true it is.
I don't see the appeal of male strippers at all. They're embarrassing. (Not that I'm keen on the idea of female strippers either - it makes me uncomfortable.)
Men look much better with their clothes on.
I go Spearmint Rhino and Four Your Eyes Only sometimes but to experience male strippers you usually have to go out of your way, either seeing one that's been hired for a party or going to a dedicated male strippers (e.g. DreamBoys) night, and you would usually have to get tickets in advance or pay a lot on the door and all that rubbish. Too much hassle.
In Spearmint or FYEO sometimes they'll let you in for cheaper (or sometimes for free) if you're female, and the girls there are lovely (I'm straight by the way). We sometimes pop in there as part of our night out (meal, then bar, then strip club, then nightclub).
