Has anyone in the USA seen the show "Kinky Boots" if so what did you think of it? When it comes to the West End in London I would love to go and see it because it's one of my favourite films.
Cyndi Lauper's songs won it an award for the musical "Kinky Boots" recently.
Way back when I vaguely remember when the story about the factory, on which the film is loosely based, became a news item.

Wonder if when it will come over
They're looking to transfer it quickly, aiming for a West End debut in Spring 2014 probably at the Adelphi so say the various 'insiders'. Doesn't seem too unlikely though, a lot of talk from people who've been on message boards say they don't think it's got lasting appeal and won't be a mega-hit that runs for years. Understandably they'll want to transfer it quickly whilst they can still ride on its Tony success.
I've got the OBCR and whilst the songs are catchy enough, it's a pretty average set of songs to be honest. Not the best of 2012-13 broadway season, but not the worst either!
