"Zionism" by any dictionary definition is a movement supporting the creation of a Jewish homeland as a means to be a majority in their own nation, to avoid further persecution. That has been achieved in the State of Israel.
People on this forum are really complaining about "cultural Zionism" typified by Christian fundamentalism but which equally manifests itself in many other (mostly harmless) ways. I'm not interested in this and most other Jews aren't interested in cultural Zionism either? In many ways it has nothing to do with Israel, at all.
But when people on this forum rail agains "Zionism" it drips from their every word that they really mean Jews and Hamas are firing rockets at Jews, not Zionism.
This is really pathetic stuff, you know.
Are Jews who are opposed to Zionism hating themselves in your view?
It's what i find strange about those on here who level those accusations. Jews themselves disagree with Israel, they disagree with the terminology often used to shut down debate and yet some still claim that any criticism must be against Jews.
It's very much like some people who label all Muslims as terrorists because of the actions of a few.
Is it all to suit a particular argument rather than there ever being any truth in it?
*Not watched last one yet, will do later.
Imho, it's a cyber attack of trolls, arriving in little groups, taking aim and firing - intent on getting you banned or dubbed an anti-semite. It's well known all over the net - criticise Israel or Zionism and they arrive.
Saying that, 2+2 usually calls me an islamophobe re the burka, etc.
An honest Israeli soldier speaks. He was brought up as a Zionist Jew and was taught when young that if you're not Zionist you were anti-Semetic which is simply not true.
He clearly differentiates between Zionism and Orthodox Jew.
Quite a long vid so you might want to sit down with a cuppa 😄
So why are so many Orthodox Jews against Israel and what it does?
You may have missed my earlier question about how Israel would be if Orthodox Jews were in government and positions of power?
Why won't Israel return to it's agreed historical boundaries? (pre 67)
Simples; Israel is a secular not a religious state. The orthodox to whom you refer are a noisy but very small albeit physically noticeable minority. All religions have noisy minorities and the exception doth not make the rule. At least our minority don't believe in waging jihad against all "non believers" so I guess we lucked out on that one.
In answer to your question and If the Orthodox were in charge, I guess Israel would look like the set of fiddler on the roof.

Yes, I've seen it in action on here and had an attempt made against me. Someone else on here the other day openly said he reported someone and hoped they'd get banned for a post critical of Israel. I think they're doing more harm to their cause than good to be honest. At least more of the world is seeing the reality now, either through the internet, social media or news programmes like channel 4 news.
Why do you keep linking to a visit when I asked what proof there was for Qatar funding Hamas?
Elad explains that the money came from two directions: "Legacies from the deceased; money from charity funds; a donation called zchala, one of the six pillars of Islam; and donations from various countries. It started with Syria and Saudi Arabia, with Iran added later and becoming one of Hamas's biggest supporters, and ended with Qatar, which has now taken Iran's place."

Is this what you, and other pro Israel activists, are now calling funding Hamas?
Yes it is. I wouldn't trust them to spend all of it on schools and humanitarian projects when their charter calls for the destruction of the Israeli state.

It's not a case of disproving anything. There are claims from pro Israel publications and people, but not a lot of proof. Now another poster has confirmed that the aid to rebuild is really going to be used to fund attacks on Israel. He just knows...
Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it
... Arab countries surrounding Israel are asked to open their borders before the fighters from among the Arab and Islamic nations so that they could consolidate their efforts with those of their Moslem brethren in Palestine.
A couple of choice excerpts from the Hamas charter.
I wonder why Israel doesn't want to remove the blockade when the people running the strip are openly saying they want to destroy Israel.

What do you mean i just know? they weren't going to send in trucks full of sugar and bricks they transferred the money to the Hamas leaders bank account and it got frozen by america and he raged about it on facebook. ;-)
But you seem to dismiss everything as a zionist conspiracy theory so i wont waste my time anymore as it's like talking to a truther.

What about the times?

The only UK news broadcaster giving an accurate and balanced view on the state of Gaza.

You mean the New York Times. No Zionists in America or in positions of power there, oh no...
Thanks for that. Been watching channel 4 news when I can and he's been out there in the thick of it. The broadcast from a Hospital was eye opening.

Do Zionists/Zionism concern you at all and do you know how many are in positions of power, wealth or control?
Because he met the leaders of hamas and pledged to give them $400m in aid when he went there.
Just a thought
He pledged $400m (£250m) for building projects in the Gaza Strip, which has been ravaged by conflict with Israel.
