Great start, but the time and competition weren't great.

It got cold before the final, I'm certain he would have got a PB if the weather had stayed the same as it was for the Semis.

LOL no sub 10 times. If these lot of jokers were to be up against the worlds best, actually scrap that, they wouldn't even make it into the final against the worlds best.

Wrestling belongs in the Olympics. The disappointing thing was that the IOC used the add/drop a sport process just to send a message to Wrestling and get them to clean up their institutions. There was no chance of Wrestling actually being expelled so it effectively meant there would be no new sport added this time round. It was a waste of time squash and the other sports even trying. Meanwhile the sports that deserved to be axed were left untouched.
It was a bit unfair, but it did give squash the opportunity/motivation to review the sport and make various improvements, which stand it in good stead, regardless.

I also think they gained quite a bit of general support, then sympathy, and was widely considered to be the best of the rest, so has a great chance of being included next time. These games have been a fantastic showcase for them.

They were designed to be an instrument of war. When the enemy (normally the evil English) heard the pipes echoing down the glen, they should be terrified and run away.

Asha just one drugs DQ from a medal ;-)

HA! I was thinking that too. I wonder if she was too.

I was just thinking the same. The SA swimmers all seem very smiley, friendly, polite and eloquent and for once I've broken a longlived tendency to want the S African in an event lose!

I liked the S African rugby players too. They had great hair, which is why I was supporting them in the rugby 7s. The New Zealanders had better beards, but not quite good enough. :p:blush:

    Delighted for Adam Gemili.

Maybe he should concentrate on the 200m he has very short legs for a 100m runner.

Probably but right now I'm chuffed that he won something. Always comes across as a cool lad who has got a bright future ahead of him.

Well done Adam. 74 medals in total now for England so 130 may be reached but I think about 110-120 medals will be the final target. Confident of 100 medals being reached through.

I thought Yohan Blake wasn't great in interviews but he's Muhammad Ali compared to Bailey Cole.

Just what I was thinking. ;-)

The world of athletics are very lucky to have Bolt at the top of the sport with his magnetic charisma. He mixes his exuberence, confidence and class without arrogance.

Wooo, Blessing wins. :) Not slouching either at 10:85.

If you believe Gabby Logan it was also the men's record which she told us was 10.88 seconds. Ooops!
