Advice about i tunes please

I have bought a new computer. Before my old one was removed, I backed up everything onto an external hard drive, including music library in itunes. However not all of the songs have transferrd to the new itunes on the new pc. Does anyone know an easy way to transfer them from the external drive to the new pc? Thanks!

Make sure you authorise your new computer to play old copyrighted material purchased before iTunes scrapped the DRM. You may have transferred everything properly but if the computer isn't allowed to play them, it simply wont.
