Why all the "I wish it was a girl" comments? So she can dress it up and use her as an accessory?!
Now as a mum of 2 boys, I was grateful that they were healthy and I loved them from day one. Got sick of the comments 2nd time round "oh... another one"
Boys are just as loving to their mums :)

I think Kate looked lovely outside the hospital. Her tummy will be flat again in no time if she feeds the baby herself.
I actually do think William and Kate will be very hands on. I like that they have gone to stay with her parents. Every new mum needs her mum around.

Some folk just wanted it to be a girl in order to make some kind of feminist statement, what with all the rushed constitutional changes being set in motion so that an elder girl would one day become queen ahead of a younger brother. They were all so convinced it would be a girl! Quite amusing that the baby turns out to be a boy after all!!

What matters above all is the baby's safe arrival, not all this politicised nonsense about the gender. Most of us will be long gone by the time he becomes king anyway!!

    I didn't notice this at the time but William said to the reporters that;

"It's the first time we have seen him really so we are having a proper chance to catch up.".

Does this mean he was in an incubator for most of the day? Could this be the real reason for the four hour announcement delay?

No, it means that they hadn't seen him for nine months. First time they've seen him.

Also, anyone hear Big Will call Kate "Poppet".

The flags have waved, the bells doth ring
We have at last a king! king! king!
The court of Windsor we celebrate
Even though you were so late!
And now you're home to rest awhile
And make your parents coo and smile
Are you noisy? Are you strong?
Are you hairy like old King Kong!
Tis time to latch on to mummy's teat
Ah that milk - mm so warm ahh so sweet
One day you'll be shod of nappies soiled
From grandpa and grandma you will be spoiled
And as we bid you a fond good night
Be still dear George and sleep so tight
We're honoured to be in your presence royal
As up and down the land we toil
To keep your Britain so great, so strong
For in your hands nought go wrong.
Doze now child 'tis sleep o'clock
And in mummy's arms doth baby rock x

Well, not really because the changes have been set in motion either way. It's not like the changes will be stopped now.

I thought it was the Diana thing, there was a lot of that on twitter, people wanted a little Diana - who would become Queen. It may be healthier that that didn't happen.
