    Burnt Offerings

probably very tame now but scared the bejazus out of me at the time!:D

Love that film. It has a great atmosphere and very 70's ending.

Caught it on the horror channel a few years ago. Apparently it was quite successful at the box office.

See i have Sky tv but cant afford the movie channels but the Horror Channel is my key to seeing some good movies. Its probably not well known but i'd recommend See No Evil. Kinda crappy but a few bits of interesting horror

Triangle - Still remains me favourite ever film. Cinematically stunning, completely unnerving and incredibly under recognised.

Bad Taste - Peter Jackson's first film.
Trick or Treat(1986) - Play the rock song backwards, and the dead singer comes back to life.
Waxwork(1988) - Little known but stars Zach Galligan, David Warner, John Rhys-Davies and Patrick McNee.
Society - The Shunting scene
Zombie Flesh Eaters(1979) - Lucio Fulci zombie film.
Moontrap - Low budget sci-fi horror staring Bruce Cambell.
Dead Girl - Pretty sick premise
    Freaks(1932) - Banned for 40 years.

    Two films saw recently:
American Mary - doesn't quite work (especially last act) but weird.
Communion (Alice Sweet Alice) - creepy but effective.

Dellamorte Dellamore (aka Cemetary Man). It's the artsiest zombie movie ever.

Some that come to mind for me are:

REC - Really effective Spanish horror that freaked me out really badly at the end. Definitely worth a viewing for the last five minutes alone!

The Prowler - 80's slasher movie with phenomenal gore effects from Tom Savini, and some very tense chase sequences. The killer looked really cool, too.

The Ward - While it doesn't deserve any awards, and the ghost itself looked pretty crap, it was enjoyable, engaging and quite bloody in some bits, too. Overall, a good watch.

Wolf Creek - It takes a while to get into things, but when it starts, it literally never stops! Not for the faint-hearted in the slightest, but certainly a great film.

IMO, Inbred, Fido and Trick r Treat are really awful films, with Trick r Treat being an absolute stinker. Stake Land is indeed pretty good, and Tucker and Dale vs Evil is beyond brilliant. Rec is superb, with Rec 2 not far behind.

The Changeling with George C Scott. No gory but scary as hell.

“Her fingers touched me. She smells of amber” - De Flores.

Studied it for A2 level literature. Love it :D

Just a few of my favourites:
    • Phantasm (all 4 of them, shame they never made a 5th, hate that cliffhanger!)
    • The Dead Pit (Low budget B Movie, but fun.)
    • Night of the Comet (Classic movie.)
    • Toxic Zombies (also known as "Bloodeaters" & "Forest of Fear", cheesy B Zombie movie)
    • 976-Evil (1 & 2)
    • C.H.U.D. II - Bud the Chud (Has nothing to do with the first C.H.U.D. movie, this is a fun horror/comedy)
    • Critters (They're all cheesy fun really)
    • Flight of the Living Dead: Outbreak on a Plane (Dumb cheesy fun.)
    • The Howling (Ignore the sequels, though the 4th was entertaining)
    • Killer Klowns from Outer Space (Classic, great soundtrack)
    • Leprechaun (There's quite a few of these, the 1st being the best, the 4th in space is a nice cheesefest, as are the ones "in the hood").
    • Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl -O- Rama (Cheese and more cheese).
    • Shivers (Can't go wrong with 70s Cronenberg horror movies)
    • The Brood (As above).
    • The Children (From a few years back, was quite good)
    • The Dentist (Not recommended if you have a dentist appointment any time soon. :D )
    • The Gate (Classic movie.)
    • The Last Man on Earth (Much better than it's more well-known newer versions)
    • Day of the Animals (Animals go crazy and attack Humans, simple plot, good movie)
    • Dark Night of the Scarecrow (TV movie from the 80s)
    • Troll & Troll 2 (Both unrelated, both cheesy fun)
    • Urban Ghost Story (Worth seeing, low budget)
    • Witchboard (The first is the best of the 3, but watch the others too)
    • Warlock (The first 2 are ok, forget the 3rd)
    • Suspiria (Visually stunning horror, low on plot though)
    • Rammbock (Good German Zombie movie)
    • Lifeforce (Classic)
    • Demons (Both 1 & 2, classic fun)
    • Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County (aka: The McPherson Tape, nice TV movie)

The Children was on BBC2 last night. I'd never heard of it but really enjoyed it and found it genuinely scary at times.

I remember first watching this on Channel 4 at the time when I was a teenager. It did scare me when I first watched it. A very good film, which I enjoyed
