I'm not striking a negative tone; I still enjoy X Factor every week, it's great fun.

But for sheer WOW, WOW, WOW... this season has lacked it.

This was WOW, WOW, WOW: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8GKEAVkw70

And http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jeJe5cga80

I love YouTube!

Really, just :)

Really? I think that may be X Factor's best moment ever.

But okay, what about the first link? :)

Both clips were brilliant and the Duet has to be the best xfactor moment ever bar none!

My other fav x-factor moment was Ruth Lorenzo singing Purple Rain ... I so hope that girl releases some stuff soon, she rocks.

Just watching it (again!) tonight, it's so perfect on so many levels.
    • The vocals, stunning.
    • All four judges with an ovation with no politics.
    • The sheer unadulterated joy and fear from Alexandra.
    • The genuine joy from Cheryl, as she hugs Simon.
    • The thanks from Alexandra, and her thanks on behalf of Cheryl - as they both loved it so much.

Dezso, Ruth does have an album out next year. If she keeps this passion in play, I'm so buying it!

Ruth :( the all time X factor travesty that she did not make the finale and the gremlin did.

The Beyonce duet is one of, if not THE best XF moment of all time. Spine-tingling.

My favourite X Factor performance: Rachel Hylton: 'Feelin' Good'

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzjnlhaFu7M

Listen to the way she sings 'Sleep in peace when day is done, that's what I mean' 01.29-01.35. It's just amazing, and the way she colours the word 'mean' is breathtaking. One tiny example of how good this vocal was. I didn't even rate her that much but she came out on big band night and produced a performance that made her sound like the best singer in the world.

At the end Cowell said it 'wasn't perfect', but I think it truly was.

    :)

Because of Beyonce, not because of Alexandra. Beyonce's vocal was genuinely world class though.

It's a very good performance! I think they lost their way with her... but again, she was way above this year's.

We're about one week away. The game isn't going to be raised that much.

No, them both. One is an established worlwide talent, the other is a mangnificent new talent.

I've still got the original performance on my PC, with the judge's comments, when she was so overcome at the end of the song she started crying.

I have my own reasons for why it gave me goosebumps. :)

Some of the talent in Series 5 knocks spots off every single competitor this year.

I'd actually forgotten how good Ruth was. There's not 1 contestant this year who comes close to her is there?

No. Not at all. Nowhere near her level.

That performance by Ruth is light years ahead of anything this year.

Puts it all into perspective really.

The first one is great. I think this may be my favourite Ryhdian performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfMnBmO8ksg
