9200T lost recordings

My trusty old 9200T has just lost all its recordings. After watching one recording, I pressed the red button to delete it and Select to confirm. The screen froze and I was forced to turn the power off. The recorded programmes list is now empty. Is there an easy way to recover the recordings or are they lost forever? Any help appreciated.

Depends on your definition of easy. The only reliable way to get them back is to open the box, attach the hard drive to a PC and use humaxrw in recovery mode; see http://humaxdisk.wikispaces.com/HumaxRW. If you decide not to recover the recordings then you should format the disk from the HDD control menu item to recover space and fix the file system corruption.

OK, thanks for your help Martin. I might cut my losses and go for a simple reformat.
