  Not sure if that's the thing I need or not, always does anyone know if I also need a nunchuk to play the game? (Typical of me to buy a game when I don't have anyway of actually playing it )

  Personally I'd avoid the add-on block and just upgrade to a new Motion+ wiimote since it's more comfortable. Be sure to check if your Wiimotes say "Wiimotion + " on them as you might already have one, later Wii SKU's came packaged with them.
  
  Yes you also need a Nunchuk to play it.

  I have the small block that attaches to the bottom of the remote and I've never had an issue with it.
  
  The link you posted is of a third party accessory. If heard that the unofficial ones can be a bit dodgy so I would suggest an official Nintendo one.
