instead of a thread on why there isn`t a thread about it you could just start one that is.

One of those awful scenarios when depressed/ angry man decides to end it all and take his kids with him. No doubt, in time, more will emerge on the possible reasons. Perhaps there's not much to say yet because the information coming out has been largely descriptive with little background. Of course, I could be wrong and have missed details.

Yes, Ceri Fuller is the father who is thought to have stabbed his three children to death before killing himself because his wife posted a 'midlife crisis' note on Facebook.

We know so little about the background of this dreadful event. We can all criticise the father for doing this but we do not know the circumstances behind his behaviour. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors today. I am sure the economic crisis is pushing people over the edge and if you have marital problems as well, who knows why people snap. I know the suicide rate has gone up in Ireland and USA since so many people have lost their jobs and homes. Some people see no other way out and do not want to "leave their kids behind"!! Desperately sad.

    It's heartbreaking. Poor children.

I can't even start to understand how people can get that depressed, so low that they hate everything and everyone and actually convince themselves that they can't leave their children in such an awful world.

This is a known phenomenon which happens from time to time and is probably never going to stop happening. There are a probably also a few cases a year where someone in this situation is brought back from the brink and saved.

Or it's more likely to have been about spiting the children's mother, which seems to happen a lot in these type of cases too.

Nothing to discuss three kiddies dead, father dead, we know nothing only the consequences. Very sad indeed

I noticed that on the Daily Wail website. Having read the facebook comments concerned I don't think the wife was having a 'mid-life crises' at all, just having some lighthearted banter.
But it does serve 2 purposes for the Daily mail - put some blame on the woman and some on facebook. If only they could get the BBC, Olympics and Johnny Foreigner in there too they would wet themselves.

Needless to say the only one to blame for the senseless murder of those children is the **** who wielded the knife.

A 'father' took his life after allegedly (for the sake of any legal implications) murdering his three children.

It's a tragic story and one that happens all too often unfortunately.

What exactly would you like to 'discuss' about that ?.

Because we can pontificate until the cows come home about why he did it and try and find reasons or apportion blame, but it will all ultimately be pointless.

At the end of the day, a mother has had her three children taken from her by a "man" she probably once loved and trusted. That's really all there is to this story.

Nothing to be discussed as we don't really know the whole story.

I'm so sick of seeing these type of stories in the news. Absolutely tragic and unfathomable.

I just wish everybody who was experiencing mental distress and torment could reach out for some sort of help before things get too unbearable. Of course, who knows what 'reason' the father had at the time, so I'm not saying he was definitely mentally ill.

    Try putting some points across.

Posting a picture of a thing with crab like claws and red bogies isn't one.

Great:rolleyes: So you are just an attention seeker using someone's tragedy to gain attention:confused: That's all I can assume from your fairly pointless posts so far. Well done:yawn:

I really despise the term "grief porn". It invokes images of smug, self absorbed "hipsters" desperate to be seen as cool and aloof and who probably have a friend called "Tarquin".

People are going to naturally feel sad about three children being murdered. Anyone with an ounce of human emotion would, and should, feel the same. If that means they want to go online and express their sorrow at such an event, that is their right to do so. Society has progressed to the point where it's more commonplace to do most things online so why is it such a huge problem for some people that others choose to express sorrow and condolence for a tragic event?

And yes, that was rhetorical ..

Desperately awful. Whatever a man's problems are, murdering his children by knifing them to death is not the answer.

I think the midlife crisis she was referring to is that she had taken up wrestling and was representing GB at the Olympics and that as she was the only one of the wrestling team that wasn't actually a Johny Foreigner (plastic Brit) she was getting interviewed by Gaby Logan for the BBC.:D
