Why do they say died peacefully in their sleep?

  If I was in such pain and nearly dying I'd rather die in my sleep peacefully instead of walking into a road and waiting for a bus to hit me.

  I imagine by the time we get to 60's, we will be sent on our way by the nurse with a injection.

  That may be a good option without sounding morbid but if you got so bad and life wasn't worth living due to a bad illness you could get sent away with an injection and have family around you while you pass away in your sleep. Dont mean that to sound really weird, creepy and morbid I think its gotta be better than laying in agony for longer in a hospital bed knowing no one can do anything for you leaving you to literally die. No one needs to suffer any more pain.
