I tend to agree. Probably best left as a book.

    Five minutes was enough.

Who decided to make this tripe?

:( I've taped this: I did see a tiny bit - Jennifer Saunders demanding that a man be arrested for 'Loitering with intent to ravish'
    Made me chuckle :D

    P. G. Wodehouse - this kind of comedy isn't funny anymore.

These things work much better on the radio.

The Jeeves and Wooster stories I love, when listening to them - specially with Richard Briars from years ago.I've got most of them on CD now.

And I'm sure there was a version of this on the radio last year, over two parts with Martin Jarvis (maybe).
It was certainly about a pig being in a competition, I remember listening to it.

It's always better when you can use your imagination to picture it all.

EDIT .It was called Uncle Fred in the Springtime and about a pig-napping.
    So - close!

It's not Wodehouse's fault - the cast were terrible. It paled in comparison to Jeeves & Wooster (Fry & Laurie) and also to Heavy Weather where Peter O'Toole played Lord Emsworth. Timothy Spall was all wrong and so were most of the others, it might improve, I'll give it another chance.

To me, it is on the radio.

Stiff Upper Lip Jeeves is one of the funniest things I've listened to - even when I play it now.
Had a wonderful cast as well.

I felt the same as you , but really enjoyed it in the end.

Have to say that Jennifer Saunders doesn`t seem quite snotty enough

I quite liked it, the wife hated it and couldn't understand why I liked it.

Anyone know if a second series is planned?

Well I hope so(no decision yet made as far as I know). The total absurdity and witty script grew on me. It will have to be without its biggest star though-sad to learn that "The Empress" (thats a pig to the uninitiated) has died :(

The episodes I saw were horribly overacted! Whereas Wodehouse books have me crying with laughter. Their success is all about wry words juxtaposed with imagination, in my view.
