My Archos AV700TV seems not to be well ... i think ???

Hi Folks.
Plugged in my Archos AV700TV after not using for a couple months & all i could get was the brief Archos screen followed by
the screen going blank pink & freezes,
or
screen goes blank white & freezes
or
it shuts itself down,
I contacted Archos & they requested it be returned for repair, & after managing to get the Archos to turn on i copied the videos i've loaded over to my PC.
Since i've done this, my Archos seems to have fixed itself & hasnt missed a beat (touching wood) ... Bizarre !!!
Now i dont know whether to send off or not ??
Does the Archos AV700TV struggle if not used for a while??
Should i leave on charge whilst not in use ??
Any feedback appreciated
