I was just wondering what people thought of Harvey in the last few episodes.
I'm not sure if he is actively playing a game but he seems to be doing well in terms of gravitating to the right people and speaking at the right times.
At the beginning he said he was going to look after Jasmine because he actually sees good in her, but now he's got rid and branded her negative. The digs at Jasmine when he went to speak to Rhian about going to bed early was pretty entertaining knowing what he said in the diary room before. His speech the other day to Jasmine he had been thinking about all day, prior to getting her in the evening to say what he feels so he was well prepared for a confrontation with her should it get there.
He is also being a fathering role for Ashley, who is a likeable character and moulded a leader of the gang type identity for himself amongst the younger boys. Additionally, has the banter going with Julie. He also gives the diary room his all and with the humour and take on the hot topics of the house.
If this is his gameplan, he's doing a good job of it and will more than likely sail to the final. I don't think people are too quick to remember his past (i.e. the affairs) but some will get close to doing so. Although he's playing it well he does come across slightly above it all with his "deepness" as quoted before, people watching and attempting to suss people out.
Is he a shoo in for the final, or is he going to get in arguments and lose out?

A bit rubbish really to be honest, and he will either fall out of favour with the public or it all blow up in his face at some point. Romeo sort of did this effortlessly, it seemed natural just a bit bland but no nastiness. Harvey is very forced and if cracks are beginning to form after a few days it won't last.
How big a backlash? Don't know about that, but I would bet more on him not making the final than making it I think.
e.g. when he found out that coleen done a sex tape
Nearly everything with him seems to be done for the cameras, they will all be doing it to some extent but he sticks out for me. A drinking game when he glances at the cameras would have us paralytic.
The monologues are what especially grate, and that's what I think the public might turn on him for. He just doesn't really have much to say that you wouldn't find summed up better in a cheap greeting card.
Tonight's especially went down like a lead balloon, and seemed to aggravate the whole situation as well.
Ah true fair point, perhaps not smooth in terms of for the public but for the housemates? For instance I can see them nominating a lot more people over him in the lead up to the final hypothetically speaking of course. If he can solidify his position like Romeo did he could take it. But there is something a bit volatile about him, you can almost tell he wants to be involved in more of the conflicts and put his two pence in almost domineering to an extent.
Very true, you can hear that signature laughing in the background of quite a few of the clips too. I only just noticed the other day he has the same laugh as Alesha Dixon.
Yeah I'm not sure yet how the housemates are seeing it.
It would basically take more of his camera stunts to go wrong to make them shift focus to him really. He seems so eager though to do them that I'd say that's only a matter of time.
He's trying to capitalise on situations all the time, that's a very dangerous game in the house. It's far safer to stay out, he's only doing it because he think he knows the game better.
Big ego that Harvey.
Totally! He drives me nuts with the extreme LOLs. It's NEVER that funny yet Harvey flips his shit. Not sure if it's fake or just his thing, but it annoys me.
As for being smooth... nope.
Smooth? Anything but.
But he may be ok if he stays away from the three nightmare young ladies and sticks with Julie. I think he is a nice chap but as for smooth .. well no ..
hes the complete opposite to Romeo.
i do believe Harveys heart is in the right place when he does certain things but also recognises the game enough to know it could look good.
as far as the "deepness stuff" him (and Romeo when he was in) do seem to mention the vibe and energy, i'm guessing its the sort of stuff that they get told from the old heads in the barbershop and the likes.
i think unlike Romeo last year who took a backseat of going for a bird (he couldve pulled Georgia) i can see Harvey not being able to resist and will probably end up having a crack at Rhian if she stays.
Absolutely agree 100% with this post.
Harvey isn't smooth in the least. His speech making is so obviously for the cameras and so stilted, it's ridiculous.
He isn't being himself IMO and that will get him nowhere.
