Funny seeing Eddie Large on series 1 where they show clips of his old shows, borderline racist by todays standard.

The lads hated it on ITV.

BBC could take it in on, then it would be 'back home'

Just putting out a long-standing request to see if anyone has episode 17 of the first series? I've landed episode 2 now and will hopefully be putting that up on YT in the coming days, Episode 17 features Bob Mortimer, Karren Brady and a guest appearance from Jona Lewie, and it was aired in May 1994, if anyone has it on an old VHS, please let me know, I can do anyone the complete series in return.

Phoenix from the flames got me every week. Think the best was when they recreated the time a side from the Middle East walked off with David Baddiel as the head of their FA gesturing them off while saying "No, no stay on the pitch, whatever you do stay on the pitch"

Bit of an update on this - a fine YouTube member has uploaded all he has of episode 17 which amounts to about half the episode, better than nothing indeed!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsGQVh0bE8E&feature=em-uploademail

If anyone here has the full version of this episode, please get in touch, you will be well rewarded.

I remember the Radio 5 original presented by Dominic Diamond which was very good, a lot less blokey than the TV show. I was a bit upset at the time when it ended.

I used to love it when they chose players surnames to spell out a specific thing like Phillip Cocu and Jurgen Kohler which was the drink that was Coca Cola but the best one was Vegard Heggem David Beckham Youssef Chippo which would be Egg Ham and Chips

That was from the ITV era - Bagheiri Arce was my fave of those.

But the ITV episodes paled in comparison to the BBC ones.

I love the scene when the doorbell rung, they opened it and David Pleat, in the same suit as for Luton in 1984 or 85 ran around the studio doing that dance and then straight back out of the door.
