Couldnt see a thread for this.......

Wow! Not sure what to say really.

What a bizarre yet compelling film. Extremely graphic for a Hollywood film. Michael Fassbender is unbelievable - you quite simply can't take yours eyes off him.

It's not to everyone's taste but it's worth a try if you can handle something that asks you to think, to judge and consider things outside most people's comfort zones.

It did make me think, made me think what a cliched film it is. Straight out of the 'How to make an arthouse movie' book. He watches a lot of porn and shags around, what a rebel.

I rented this and I am sure I could remember my friend telling me that it wasnt all that explicit and was mostly talking

Turns out she was meant A Dangerous Methord and I realised about 5 minutes in :p

And I was thinking someone had made a topic on the wonderful Ingmar Bergman film Shame. ;)

As for the other Shame, wasn't a fan of it but it put across very well the portrayal of a sex addict.

What I do like is that more films seem to be wearing the NC-17(usually a kiss of death in America) tag with pride and not trying to cut things out of their films to fit into the lower R-Rated rating. I think Killer Joe was a recent film that stuck with its NC-17 tag also.

Saw this a few months ago and thought it was excellent. Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan were outstanding, especially in that scene where they have a conversation that becomes steadily more heated on the couch.

I saw this a couple of months ago and thought it was good. It's very unique and thought that Michael and Carey were excellent. It annoyed me that we didn't find out about their past but for what the film was, I suppose the viewers could make that up.
