You have to think of the possibilities of that wedding. Of course DT's production team will be there. And so will Peter Davison. Thats two Doctors. But imagine if they just went, "What the hell" and invited ALL the Doctors? Chris and Matt especially. I'm sure they must have met David right?
    :p

That could be quite a chorus of "I do."

Marrying his own daughter... and he'll be his own father-in-law, too! And his children will be his grandchildren at the same time... ooh, he'll bring about the destruction of time!

So not only would the child be descended from different regenerations of Doctors on their father's side AND their mothers side but their maternal grandmother would be Trillian from HHGG!!

I did think having Sandra Dickinson as Mother in Law might be a downside for Tennant.

    But perhaps that's just me?

This putative child will probably grow up hating all forms of sci-fi.:)

It just goes to prove - women do go for men that resemble their father....

It kind of reminds me of a science fiction story I once read about a time traveller who's telling a barman about how he was actually his own father AND his own mother.

It turns out that he is also the barman!

Because Peter Davison is her dad's professional name, not his real one.

Thank you very much. I'm extremely impressed that you recognized which story I meant, given my badly mangled recollection of the actual plot!:o

I was also reminded of "The Flipside of Dominick Hide" and I bet you know all about that too! :)

still dreaming of the guest list...depends on how big they wanna go with it! most of the Doctor's have probably met each other a time or two in passing if nothing else, maybe a few will show up. got companions and so on as well...even if you go with those they are actuclly friends with, I would pay to get in to watch! I'm pretty good with a camera - I'll do pix for them as a wedding gift...now just gotta convince them to fly me over there...

grooms cake will be the TARDIS right? (would so be if I was a friend, just for the laugh of it!)

A further thought on any possible offspring -

    Q "Who's the daddy?"

    A "Yes - and the grand-daddy!*

(With shades of Abbott & Costello "Who's on First?")
