Games on a HD 4000

Hi all,
I will be going away for a few months and limited to the HD 4000 graphics in an Intel NUC that I will carry to my new digs.
I think I will have a monitor there that is low native res, so I won't need 1920 x 1080 res gaming.
I just wondered are there any really good games old games that I could catch up on but still run at a playable framerate?
I have Skyrim in Steam, which for reasons unknown to me I never got around to playing.
As my internet will be sketchy I was hoping to install this and play it in offline mode while I'm away.
Anyone else got experience of Skyrim on HD 4000?
Also, any other game recommendations would be appreciated.
