    Seriously?

I've never even seen Star Wars (I know, shock horror), but I reckon I'm gonna go with that...

Well I know what Mark Kermode thinks on that matter :D

Honestly though, I'm not a fan of either franchise. I only caught up with all 6 Star Wars films last year (3 for you purists out there) and I have no desire to see any of them again. With Twilight I enjoyed the first movie (hides behind sofa) but that's it. I'm not a hater of the Twilight franchise though like most people, I think there are much worse movies out there.

I think this could be the biggest mismatch since Justin Bieber took on Beethoven.

    I honestly prefer Twilight

Star Wars is the most overrated junk I have ever watched in my life.

Does Twilight even get a rating?

Yes Star Wars for me. Even the the later trilogy beats Twilight.

Isn't this like asking what you prefer for a meal; a 10oz fillet steak or to have your eyeballs melted out their sockets with acid, then fed to you whilst being flayed alive and forced to watch Twilight on repeat?

Only on DS would such a question be asked.

You're basically asking: who's better, girls or boys?

I was 14 when Star Wars was released in 1977 and thought I'd never go and see it in a million years, thought science fiction was a load of twaddle :o

Then, in 1981, Radio 1 broadcast the radio dramatisation, and I listened to that for some reason. Everything changed for me then; I saw the images in my head even though I'd not seen the film, a brand new world of imagination opened up to me. I made sure I saw the films I'd missed and was glued to every one thereafter.

I liked the Twilight films, sure, but they never had that effect on me :D

Not really. Star Wars has a lot of female fans.

I've never watched any of the Twilight filns and it could simply be a stereotype of the fanbase but it does seem to be mainly a female driven fanbase,

This has to be a troll thread.

Star Wars vs LOTR or Star Wars vs Harry Potter I could see leading to a healthy debate... but Star Wars vs Twilight lol?

    No debates necessary.

While the original trilogy means this is a hands-down no contest, nothing in the no film in the Twilight saga is as bad as Attack Of The Clones.

Nonsense. Plenty of intelligent girls like Star Wars.

the romance in AOTC is rather similar to the romance in Twilight , the stalker-y boyfriend , both of them moping about their forbidden love' , bad acting etc.

The amount of posters in here who seem to think there's only one acceptable answer to this question saddens me - it's all opinion, and everyone's got the right to have whatever opinion they want.

Personally, I hate Star Wars, think it's entirely overrated. The Twilight movies aren't good (and the books are badly written anyway) but I at least managed to sit through a couple of them without feeling completely bored. There are much worse movies in existence than Twilight, and if it was a straight choice, I'd pick it to watch rather than Star Wars.

The number of hyperbolic metaphors and exclamations of "what the?!" would imply that...
