No. Lots and lots of locations all over Hertfordshire and North London. Both b&w and colour.

All the film series of the 50's 60's were mainly shot at Film Studios, Elstree, MGM etc with the little location shooting done by second units and doubles for the actors.

Sir Francis Drake was an ABC/ATV joint production but I doubt Terrence Morgan saw much of Torbay where some location filming took place with the Golden Hind.

The first episodes of The Saint (Roger Moore) were a ATV/Granada joint production.

The BBC film series entry was The Third Man (Michael Rennie) and Maigret (Rupert Davies)

Other film series by other companies was The Adventures of the Scarlet Pimpernel, Ivanhoe (Roger Moore)
The Adventures of Sir Lancelot, Robin Hood, The Four Just Men, Sword of Freedom, and The Buccaneers (TV series) were all Sapphire Films for ATV.

The Danziger brothers produced Calling Scotland Yard, The Vise, Mark Saber, The Man from Interpol, The Cheaters (1960), Richard the Lionheart

There was no shortage of film series back then. I have not listed them all.
