I remember watching this when I was a kid.I must of been 8 or 9 and it really scared me and made me sad. I even remember my mum being really upset about. Good storyline though.
One of the most shocking accidents on a soap. The kid going through the windscreen...I don't think either EE or Corrie would have the balls to do that.
It really was one of the best stories they ever did. The way Susannah didn't care about herself, and only cared about how the children were was heartbreaking. And then Max having to break the news about the deaths. Truly heartbreaking stuff.
I remember this vividly.
I was really affected by it when I was younger. I can't imagine another soap daring to pull off such a shocking scene again. Brookside was revolutionary for plot lines like these.
