  I think they do only if you have a BARB box, but i could be wrong...

  Never heard if a BARB box, I record it on my freeview box

  If its similar to a Nielsen Box in the US. Its a diverse group who are evenly selected based upon a range of age, gender, ehtnicity (and so on) and they can track what TV Shows people view so they can get an average idea of how many people would be viewing the show...its only ever a rough figure.

  I think a good majority of people do this watch strictly then watch xfactor later
