Kids & Toy adverts on TV

Is it just me or have there been a lot more adverts on TV for kids toys and games in the last few months, especially on channel 4, 5 and all the other digital channels?

I know it is near Christmas, but I haven't really seen adverts for specific toys (e.g. Fisher Price toys) for quite a few years. Wasn't there a ban on advertising for children a while back, so things like toys couldn't be specifically advertised to children and families? Has this ban been uplifted now?:confused:

    The only ban is on junk food advertising. The majority of toy adverts are on Nickelodeon or the CITV Channel etc now, since there are not many children's programmes left on mainstream channels.

    I've noticed the childrens toy adverts too but Christmas seems to start earlier every year. I used to love it when the toy adverts started when I was a child, it made me get excited for Santa Claus and Christmas.
