My boyfriend just bought it off virgin movies after hearing some guys at work talking about it.

I'm kind of speechless. I've witnessed some gory movies in my time but this one takes the biscuit.

It had me crying, reaching, squirming all the way through. I seriously can not cope with life right now. I should have just gone to bed

Despite the above - it was kind of brilliant.

Anyone else seen it?

I watched the uncut version the other day which had nearly 4 extra minutes of nastiness compared to the version you'll have watched (the BBFC required cuts for it to get an 18 cert) and while it was pretty nasty, it wasn't as nasty as i'd been expecting. The 2010 film was a lot more violent and the rape in that was a lot more graphic too in my opinion, how that one scraped through with less than a minute of cuts and this one gets nearly 4 minutes removed is kinda strange.

I didn't think the film was a patch on the 2010 remake either though. Once you get past the rape, the 2010 film was an entertainingly inventive revenge thriller, whereas this one just dragged for me. I'll admit to wincing at the "we all have our VICES" bit though:o

I kinda want to watch the 2010 one now... I did contemplate watching that one before this one as I thought the one I just watched was a sequel? They're both the same storyline right?

They both have a similar storyline, basically a woman gets raped, then the woman takes bloody revenge on her attackers. The 2010 film was a lot better than ISOYG2 in my opinion, it was a better made film and the acting was also a lot better, especially from the main woman. The revenge attacks are more inventive too. If you liked this one then I'd definitely recommend the 2010 film :)

It's a sequel to the 2010 remake. It's got nothing to do with the character from the 2010 film though, it basically just has a similar storyline.

Dunno, if only there was some Movie Data Base type thing on the Internet that told us about films and who was in them. If such a thing existed then the mystery would be solved.

The UK version is cut just as the original and the remake were - not sure what was cut on this one though.

I have the uncut US Bluray of the original but the remake was quite dull in comparison as you didn't see all the rapes so her revenge wasn't really as justified as it was in the first film .
I think I'll see the second film once its available as a Bluray double bill

Seen the uncut check disc copy from the distributor and it was high on gore, shock and exploitation, and I thought it was fairly effective. I thought the first act lasted too long though, and some of the acting was a bit "off". Still, a decent sequel to a good remake.

Are you also amazed that women watch porn ?
Are you amazed that straight men would watch a film all about gay love ?
Are you amazed that men would watch a film featuring men being raped ?
