These twee baby-voiced covers really annoy me
And I do like some good follk music :(

Just seen a stupid ad for breakfast biscuits with some woman on an obstacle course, throwing a massive teddy, going out a giant door and then flopping onto a keyboard.
I also saw a promo for shows on Good Food and chefs going "Mmmm... wow, mmmm... wow,,," in time with Doop by Doop (cant believe that song, the 1920's dance Charleston meets techno, is almost 20 years old!)

The Ariel advert with the girl with the vintage dress. That's, like, Ariel, like, totally trying to be edgy so they can appeal to impoverished students.

    HSBC

Yes I know, Hong Kong and Shanghai Business Corporation but please, enough with the damn "isn't Chinese culture awesome?" ads.

How about showing a new HSBC ad featuring tanks rolling over students?

.......and grinding up parts of endangered animal species for their 'medicines'

Saggy faced Loose Woman on Heating Logic advert miserably talking about "servicing old boilers" and saying "you don't have to be Carol Vorderman to work it out".

If I was gonna "service an old boiler" give me Vorderman over that gloomy faced harridan anyday.

"service an old boiler" - is there no end to ad-men's razor sharp wit?

Tesco mobile. Lots of studenty types and then a metal-mouthed girl giggling when she's finished spouting crap.

What annoys me about that ad the most is the way it's presented as 'real people' when it's blatantly actors.

Agreed. That really burns my arse.

I have a pathalogical hatred of the Moneysupermarket ads - they were bad enough when it was just 'Gary' but now there's more of them and they're on practically every ad break! I can never hit the 'off' button quick enough, and would never, ever, ever use that site for a quote, no matter how much money I might save - it's my personal protest!!

Safestyle windows with Ken Morley is one that irritates me ..and I made a pont of not looking at them for windows because of it - ads like that make a product tacky.

He doesn't seem to have aged in the past 20 years though. Probably to do with lighting and wigs!

Kerry Katona advertising some payday loans which seem to be targeted at the 'Loose Women' demographic. Given her poor track record on decision making is she an ideal choice to flog such short-term wares?

The Seat car ad with the awful version of Fleetwood Mac's Don't Stop. It's the worst cover version of a good song I've ever heard.

I would NEVER use them, for the exact same reason. Their stable of advertising 'personalities' speaks volumes :

    Ken Morley / Reg Holdsworth

    Cannon & Ball

    Bad Bill Bailey lookalike

Bizarrely re-dubbed 80s style blonde woman with glasses

It's like a crap local radio advert but with pictures.

Oh my ..I'd forgotten a couple of those! All truly awful!

Sad thing about local radio ads is, it's mostly the advertiser that pulls the strings on how it's written/produced ..not the copywriters.

Is that the one where she's like 'what even is that, coffee?'
Why do they pick a brown stain...

    Ask Victor.

So the Paul Kaye character asks Victor. Victor says to look on the website.
Voiceover at the end says to Ask Victor.

Victor himself has pretty much indicated that he doesn't want to be bothered and to use the website

    :p

Advert for Saniflo - yep it sounds like something women don't like to talk about, but actually some sort of plumbing arrangement - which is so obviously and appallingly overdubbed from a foreign language (German?).

In fact, any advert which pretend to be British, but obviously aren't due to the architecture, traffic lights... etc.. Anyone can CGI out the local signage, you know, we're not that dim...

    2) Mental health advert. Delusionally hopeful to say the least.
    Why do you think that?
