Feliway question

Hello everyone
I've got a bottle of Feliway spray that I bought as my cat has had periods of stress related cystitis, and she was going in the cattery where they couldn't use the plug in I had been using for her, so the cattery could spray it on her blankets.
However she doesn't seem to like the spray, and if i put it on her blankets, she refuses to sleep on them for a day or so.
My question is, can I pour the spray into the plug in bottle and it work in the same way, or is it a different formula type thing.
