Bones - made by Whedonites??

Is Bones made by some of Joss Whedon's crew or do the writers just like to pay homage to the great man with some in jokes and casting?
Notwithstanding the lovely 'Angel' being in starring role I noticed one of Brenan's 'squints' last week in an Angel rerun playing a Wolfram & Hart employee. Then a couple of weeks ago Zack was being teased for "sitting at home watching re-runs of Firefly" and finally this week we have Jayne himself aka AdamBaldwin as a bad FBI agent!
Maybe we could get Captain Mal on next! (Wishin' n' hopin'...!

David Fury (Angel) is a co-exec producer on 24, notice a couple of weeks back that Audrey used the name "Jane Espenson" when on the phone, the name of another "Whedonite" producer/writer from Buffy/Angel
Thank you!! I couldn't work out where I knew him from. Any Josh Whedon influences can only be a good thing.
Marti Noxon is also working on Prison Break at the moment as a consulting producer - haven't noticed any mentions of Buffy or Angel yet though.
