A serious soap question
This is something that happens all the time and I simply do not get it.
If a soap character owns a business like a pub or shop why do other characters who dislike that person still go in and buy from them
Take Emmerdale for example. Moira and Adam hate Charity but they still drink in her pub and fill her pockets.
Same goes for Eastenders. Pauline hated the Mitchell's and yet she still drank there and tonight Jay gave the Vic business despite Mick treated him like pure dirt.
I honestly think's it's unrealistic because if I disliked someone I would never go into their work and give them business.

She's been the bane of just about everyone in the Street at some point & a convicted murderess, yet rather than just get flowers from the supermarket like the rest of the world everyone trails straight round to Tracy to get ripped off!! Crazy!!
