Not even siblings.. isn't that lovely? I wouldn't have expected that but then no experience of two kittens together or a boy cat before.

He seems to be very caring towards her, even putting his paw around her when they sleep together sometimes.

All very different when they decide to scuffle though!

I thought you were talking about a male kitten putting a younger female kitten into the washing machine and was wondering what washing powder they used.

Seriously, I know what you are talking about.

It's a form of bonding for example.

Yes its bonding - my cat will sometimes give my hand or leg a few licks especially if she's grooming herself at the time. Strange sensation of a hot dry piece of sandpaper!:)

I knew it was bonding type behaviour but it just surprises me how close they are even though they are not siblings and the male cat is the one doing the grooming..but then he is the older one (by a month or so)

They are funny kittens, they sit and sleep together often but then you'd think they hated each other sometimes by the way that they 'playfight'

Question, if I may please. Does this mean that you are no longer catless and that there are new kittens in your household? :)

Yep, they arrived just before Christmas, I live away so it was a nice surprise to see cats in the house again when I went home to visit. I have pictures and videos emailed to me regularly

I still miss my gorgeous cat that passed away though

    You have a good memory!

That's because I also know what it is like to lose a much-loved companion (http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showpost.php?p=72657683&postcount=500) and so I know how much it hurts. At the end of last year, the opportunity came up to give a young rescue cat a new home so Holly puss has now arrived so I too am no longer catless
